6 year old drinking espresso?

Hi Im am now 17 turning 18 in a couple of months and when i was 6 my grandma or nonna in italian first let me drink espresso and ive been drinking it every since.Is that weird for a child that young to drink espresso.My Grandma was born in sicily and came to america when she was 18 so is drinking coffie that young in italy normal?
