How will i know if im in labour what are some of the signs?

this is my first and im really worried i won tknow what the signs are and miss my chance to go to the hosital on time im very pain tolerant so im scare dill p it for just some cramping or wind or something what are some of the signs that your going in labour do they happen days before or just hours i know this may sound stupid but im just curious
