Could N.S.W use a guy like James Maloney if Soward fails to produce the goods?

Very solid in defence??? He's missed 56 tackles in 10 games this year, its probably the biggest reason he wont get a look in for origin. Maloney is promising but he needs another season or 2 under his belt and needs to work on his defence big time. Also lets not forget if Gidley didn't get injured he'd have the number 6 on his back right now
